So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was such a good and patient man. Put up with a lot when we were kids.
I also saw that your mother passed away over the summer. She was always so kind to me.

We are very sorry to hear about the loss of your father. Although we never met him, we know how important and special he must have been in your life. We offer you our sincere condolences.
When I read the obituary of Lt Commander Rutkowski, it broughtback a very fond memory when I about 12 or 13 years old. The lt. Commander and his crew were gracious enough to help a group of McArthur Street kids by showing us formation manuvers. The Naval Reserve was behind my mother's house on Onota Lake Boulevard. It was a spontaneous thought to just show up at the training center and ask for instruction! I have some pictures dating back to August 1961 with the Lt. Commander actually doing inspection! If you would be interested of a copy I would be glad to send it. I would just need an address.
I recognized his name as soon as I saw it!
