Julianne (Jill) Martinette, 81, of Lawrence Township, passed away after a brief illness on February 18, 2023, at home surrounded by her four daughters, granddaughter, Megan Cook, and her best friend of over 70 years, Mary Ann Wald. Jill was born and raised in Trenton, NJ before moving to Hopewell Township where she raised her family with her husband of over 50 years, Charles M. Martinette. In 2001 she and Charlie moved to Lawrence Township. A born caregiver, Jill devoted her life to her family. Her greatest joy was raising her children and then taking care of her mother and her husband when they needed her most. In her most recent years, she enjoyed reading her Bible, shopping on QVC and watching Lawrence Welk with her girls on Saturday nights. Jill is the daughter of the late William and Mary Allen of Trenton, NJ. She is survived by her daughters, Yvette Martinette, Yvonne George (and Alan), Tara O’Leary (and Joseph) and Mary Martinette, as well as her three step-children, Charles W. Martinette (and Susan), Pamela Landry and Wendy Audesirk, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Stout (and Raymond), many cherished nieces and nephews, and Bobby Wald. A celebration of Jill’s life will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648. Visitation will be that morning from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Internment will be private and held at a later date.
