Margaret Kalafut, 90, of Ewing, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Lourdes Specialty Hospital, Willingboro, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a former resident of Lawrenceville, before moving to Ewing 67 years ago. Margaret is a retiree of Hill Refrigeration, where she worked in the billing department for many years. She later went on to work for the Ewing Twp. School District, where she was employed as a teacher’s aide in the Extended Day Program. Margaret was a parishioner at The Church of St. Ann. She was dedicated to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Simonelli, wife of the late Michael Kalafut; she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Claire Kalafut, her daughter and son-in-law Judy and Mark Mignogna; her beloved grandchildren Alison and Scott Kalafut, and Ryan and Jacob Mignogna; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 12 Noon at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing for Margaret will be held on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org
