Aunt Margie was an amazing Aunt who loved her family. I will be forever grateful on how she kept in touch through the years with my Mom, Marie Simonelli (Bills wife) after his passing. Reunited now with with her brothers & sisters, she now rests in eternal peace.

I had the honor of working with Margie Kalafut both in the cafeteria during lunches and at both the AM and PM Extended Day Program at Antheil school. She was the kindest person. Marge was always looking out for me and helping me in so many ways. Marge was wise. She talked me through tough times and shared in good times. Marge was fiercely loyal! I did not know her son Michael but Marge spoke very highly of him. I had the pleasure of knowing Judy in her last year of high school. Marge loved Judy so much. She spoke so highly of both her children. She was so proud of them. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Marge was a GREAT cook and shared many meals with me and my family. I loved Marge’s laugh. Marge I will miss you but you are with your loved ones and the lord.

Aunt Margie liked when I wrote her letters and I liked to write them. This is my final letter to my Aunt Margie, she is with the angels now, which is an incredibly sad goodbye. I will miss our talks, she always cracked me up! Her compassion and love were more than I ever witnessed throughout my lifetime. She held no preconceived opinions of me, she liked me just the way I was and never spoke about issues in my life that caused me pain. She just loved me as I am, and I loved her also. I am so incredibly grateful for the last couple of years of having her in my life, I hope she felt the same. I have been told I was like Aunt Margie in many ways, which, for me is the best compliment I could receive. I am not sure how Aunt Margie felt about it, but she commented on it a few times, so I am guessing it was ok with her. I try to keep my tears dry by knowing Aunt Margie is basking in the glory of our Lord and her family. She knows the secret now! She knows the truth of what happens when our souls separate from our bodies. She can enjoy eternity with all the loved ones she loss throughout the years. I will look for you Aunt Margie in every breeze, every butterfly, every Cardinal, and every thought of you that passes through my mind. I love you Aunt Margie and I am a better person just knowing you.
