She was a delight to support during my tenure with the courts. We met at the AOC and she wanted organizational concepts for training and education. Always pushing forward, thinking of her team statewide, and always searching for a 'better way.' We had tried to stay in touch after she retired, and of course life moved on, however, always a wonderful memory of the time we shared. Sending the family love and light, and a reminder that you are now her memory keepers, a sacred honor and trust. David France-Beverly

Our dear Jane was a superb administrator, exemplifying the best in the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts. As a judge, I first worked with Jane on the Civil Model Jury Charge Committee and then on the Conference of Presiding Civil Judges and numerous projects dealing with the civil division. Jane was a delight to work with, always on top of everything, organized and thoughtful. I often said she could have worked for the State Department, she was so diplomatic and, in her reports, she captured the nuances and complexity of an issue in clear, beautiful prose. Jane leaves a great legacy of excellence, and I am grateful for having known her. I extend my deepest condolences to her children and family and hope they find some comfort in knowing how much she was appreciated by the judiciary. Amy Chambers

Jane, I carry you in my heart, with so many memories. Office mates in the Office of the Administrative Director until you moved to Civil Practice. Roommates at MAACM. Visiting you in the hospital and seeing Hannah and Nathaniel on their first day and becoming their Godparents with Ron. You were always there for me, when I needed to talk about a Judiciary issue, and shared many lunches around our close November birthdays. I was so proud of you as a friend, a leader, and a mother. I loved you and will always love you as a dear friend. My prayers are for Hannah, Nathaniel, Steven, and so many of her friends who are hurting.
Always, Marilyn

My sweetest Jane. My heart is broken. You were one of the most important persons in my life. You taught me so much, both professionally and personally. You taught me to be kind and other-centered. We grew up and old together. We shared our joys and sorrows. You were there for me always. When I awoke from a coma on a respirator, your lovely blue eyes were the first thing I saw. When I awoke many years later from meningitis, your sweet smile made me feel comfort. I had lots of fun after retirement shopping or meeting for breakfast or lunch as you always made me laugh. You demonstrated what a good lawyer, a great writer, a fabulous mother, a devout Christian and a true friend looked like. I love you and thank you so much for bringing out the best parts of me. I will grieve until we meet again.
Hannah, Nathaniel and Rosie, your mom loved you unconditionally and with all of her heart and soul. Hannah and Nathaniel, your mom was so proud of you no matter what. I know that she is staring down on you and will help you in any and every thing that you do. I am so sorry for this untimely and tragic loss. I am here for both of you if you ever need anything.
Steven, thank you so very much for your kindness to Jane. It mattered so much.

My dearest Miss Jane (as I lovingly referred to you), I was fortunate to have the honor of working for you within the Administrative Office of the Courts for over twenty years; 11 of which as your assistant. You were an esteemed boss and mentor, valuing my opinions, always treating me as your equal and nothing less. Our working relationship was one of mutual trust and respect as we were both able to rely on the other as confidantes. After your retirement, our working relationship grew into a cherished friendship. Miss Jane, you were an incredible woman – indeed the mold has been broken and so has my heart.
To Hannah and Nathanial – your mom loved you with her whole being, speaking of you often, always stating how proud she was of you both. May happy memories shared with your beloved mom see you through this most grievous time.
With love and prayers,
Lisa
