Obituary of Edna Ranke

Edna Ranke, 101, of Lawrenceville passed away peacefully Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Clover Meadows Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Lawrenceville, NJ. 

Born and raised in Lawrenceville, NJ, the youngest of 11 children. She attended and graduated from Princeton High School in 1934.  She was employed by Heinemann Electric, Centennial Bank as a branch manager in Lambertville, NJ and Lawrence Senior Center.  She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, reading, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, doing word search puzzles and fishing.  She was currently the oldest member of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church where she previously taught Sunday school and participated in the church choir. 

Edna is predeceased by her parents August and Catherine (Weber) Denow and her husband Edward Ranke Sr. and her daughter in law Rita Anne Ranke.  She is survived by her two sons Edward Ranke Jr. and William and Susan Ranke, her grandchildren Stacie and Paul Nissen, Edward III and Renee Ranke, Robert and Kim Ranke, William and Kelly Ranke, Kate Eckenron, Eric Ranke, Chris and Tracy Perzyna, Lynn and Jerry Falcone and Nicole and John Agudelo, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Visitation for Edna will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00-10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Inurnment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Twp.
