Obituary of George Rainier

George Rainier, 76, of Warminster, PA, passed away peacefully after a challenging battle with pancreatic cancer on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at home with his loving wife at his side.

Born in Trenton, NJ, George was a longtime resident of Lawrenceville, before moving to the Anns Choice section of Warminster 6 years ago.  He is a retiree of the Lawrence Twp. Board of Education, where he was employed as a custodian.   He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and some of his hobbies included fishing, trips to the casino, the theatre district of Philadelphia and traveling.  George was a member of the New Life Christian Church in Newtown, PA.  He was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed.

Predeceased by his parents George Rainier and Mary E. Watson, his step-mother Virginia Boyle, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Christian and Ruth Brodbeck, his fishing buddy and best friend George Brodbeck; he is survived by his wife of 43 years Betty Rainier; his brother and sister-in-law Clarence and Lorraine Rainier; his nephew and his wife Michael and Sandra Rainier, his niece and her husband Donna and Martin Vitanzo; his good buddy Bruce Brodbeck; four great nephews, 2 great-great nephews, many cousins;  his special sister-in-law Henrietta Langley and family; many in-law nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00AM Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Entombment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.

The viewing for George will be held on Thursday morning from 9:30-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in George’s memory to Doylestown Hospital Hospice 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 or to Anns Choice Benevolent Fund 2000 Anns Choice Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
