Martha Graves DeBardeleben, 92, passed away on December 8th at home after a brief illness.

She was a resident of Princeton and Lawrenceville for the last 42 years.  Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she grew up in Nashville Tennessee where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University.  She also completed Master’s degrees from Huntingdon College and from Rider University.  Martha published two books and was granted a patent by the US Patent office.  She trained as a Christian Counselor and saw people on a weekly basis in her home.   A committed Christian, she was a longtime member of Stone Hill Church in Princeton (formerly Westerly Road) and served faithfully in many capacities.  

She married John T. DeBardeleben Jr and raised three children, John Thomas III, Charles Graves, and Eve DeBardeleben Roebuck.  She enjoyed fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11AM at Stone Hill Church of Princeton 1025 Bunn Drive, Princeton, NJ 08540. Visitation with her family will be held from 10AM until the time of the service in the library at the church. 

Graveside services will be in Nashville, Tennessee at Woodlawn Cemetery with her parents and older brother who preceded in death.
