Obituary of Robert Thorward

Robert “Bob” Thorward,77, of Ewing, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Bob was a resident of Ewing for 77 years.  He was a Vietnam Veteran, having proudly and honorably served his country with the US Navy.  Bob was employed with Best Tech Graphics as service technician.  He was a longtime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Ewing and a member of its’ bell choir.  Bob was an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan, model railroading and steam train enthusiast.  He enjoyed trips to Disney and his yearly trips to Myrtle Beach with his family.  Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Predeceased by his parents Robert M. and Alice Thorward; he is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Frances “Pat” Thorward; his loving son and daughter-in-law Brian and Donielle Thorward, his loving daughter and son-in-law Loren and Matthew Medwick; his adoring grandchildren Renee, Brent and Rileigh Thorward, Emily and Alexander Medwick; his sister Kathleen Hobbs, his sister-in-law Joan Wharton; one nephew Michael (Lisa), two nieces Kelly and Heather.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 10AM at Ewing Presbyterian Church (1867 Chapel) 101 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ 08628.

Entombment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery.

The viewing will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 5-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
