Bob and I were stand partners in bell choir for many years. We had many good laughs and arguments like a brother and sister. I think of him often now because I play his usual position in my new choir here in FL
I wish I could be there to offer my condolences in person but it just wasn’t doable. I’ll be praying for all of his family and friends. God bless you all

I have so many dear, wonderful memories of Bob in the bell choir - sponge Bob! finding me the right screwdriver! fixing the lights! always smiling!! laughter!! I (we - the whole choir) will miss him terribly, but celebrate that he is now in the eternal hands of God. I am infinitely blessed by knowing Bob and walking for a bit with him on his path of life.
Prayers for peace and comfort to you, his dear family.

Dear Family and Friends,
We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Robert Thorward. Mr. Thorward was the father-in-law of my brother, Matthew Medwick – the husband of Mr. Thorward’s daughter, Loren. We fondly remember the times we enjoyed the company of Mr. Thorward, and his wife Pat, during family gatherings at Christmas, and other special occasions, over the years. He was an outstanding man, husband, and father. We pray for the restful repose of Mr. Thorward’s soul. We also pray for all those who mourn his passing, especially his wife Pat, his son Brian, his daughter Loren, his grandchildren, and the entire Thorward family -- that their faith in Christ will be a comfort to them in this time of sorrow.
“I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing, or pain, the old order has passed away. Revelation 21:4
With deepest sympathy,
Diane, Sarah, and Paul Medwick

I remember Pat driving by the gas station to see if Bob was working. I was not suppose to tell our mother. When Bob came home from the service he gave me his sailor hat. I have always liked to go downstairs and look at his train set . It was easy to buy him presents...anything dealing with trains. I usually got him a train calendar every year. He was a great brothers-in-law and will be missed .

Bob will be missed by everyone who he ever met you would never pass by his presence without a story or encouraging word and his contagious smile. We will forever miss him on Fourth of July and our summer reunions in Myrtle beach. He truly was a inspiration to our family and taught us all how to age and face tough challenges with dignity and positivity. We all will miss him and always remember his love of life.
Till we meet again on that eternal shore . God bless.
