Dorothy was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her large family.  Sunday meals were prepared with love and family and friends were always invited.  Dorothy loved to crochet and knit; blankets, sweaters, scarves, booties, and hats with pom poms.  She also was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to opera music.  An active mother, she encouraged her children to ice skate, roller skate, ride a bike, swim, fish, or crab.  Dorothy and family made frequent trips to Shore Villas in Seaside Park and Island Beach State Park.  She could stay on the beach with her favorite book for hours.  Long car rides to explore New Jersey were a favorite idea any day of the week.
