Marilyn Jean Miller, 91, of Lawrence Township, passed away on September 6, 2018.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime resident of Lawrence Twp.  Jean was a 1945 graduate of Trenton High School, playing several instruments in the Trenton Junior Band and graduating from NJ State Teachers College in 1949 (BA Elementary Education).  She is a retiree of the Trenton Board of Education, where she was employed as a first-grade teacher at Junior II. Her hobbies included bowling, trips to Atlantic City and Asbury Park, collecting coins, reading, and admiring classic Chevrolets. She was also a connoisseur of fine desserts (a little of each) and a huge New York Yankees fan.

Daughter of the late Charles J. and Marion Miller; sister of the late Robert B. Miller (Gladys); she is survived by her brother Richard W. Miller (Jeanette); two nephews: Richard J. Miller (Sharon Lauchaire), William C. Miller (Marcia); three nieces: Leslie Miller Marrazzo, Cheryl Jean Miller Carpenter (Chuck), Laura Miller Holt Treadaway (Jack); great-nieces and great-nephews: Charlotte Grace and Abby Jean Miller, Jake W. Miller, Matthew R., Joseph A., Anthony J. and Ashley M. Marrazzo; John Gladwell Jr. (Meghan), Kelsy E. Estep, Brittany Michele and Ryan Chase Dillworth, Tana Holt Haile and Stephanie Holt Liner, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.                       

Interment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing Township.

Relatives and friends can call on Monday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Legion Post 414, 100 Berwyn Place, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648 or The Humane Society of The United States at www.humanesociety.org.
