Obituary of Anna S. Colavita

Anna S. Colavita, 99, of Lawrenceville died Monday at Manchester Manor, Manchester Twp., NJ. Born in Kelayres, PA she was a resident of Lawrenceville since 1930. Anna was a retired Dietician with the Lawrence Township Public Schools retiring in 1979 after 30 years of service. She was a former member of the Lawrence Township Planning Board, former Vice-Chairperson of the Lawrence Township Senior Advisory Committee, served as a Democratic Committee woman for 48 years, was a Past President of the Lawrence Township American Legion Post #414 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Lawrence Township Senior Club #5. Anna was one of the oldest members of the Church of St. Ann and was a Past President of the St. Ann Altar Rosary Society. Daughter of the late Santo and Aemilia Reale Perna, wife of the late Joseph H. Colavita, Sr., mother of the late Joseph H. Colavita, Jr. and Donald S. Colavita; she is survived by her son, Anthony Colavita and his wife Dona of Whiting; her daughter in law, Norma Colavita of Lawrenceville, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anna on Friday at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with the Rev. Vincent Gartland, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Friday from 8 AM until time of Mass at the church.
