Alexander F. “Al” Paulaski, 81, of Ewing passed away peacefully on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Capital Health Medical Center. Born in Trenton, NJ, Sonny was a longtime resident of Ewing Twp. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic Class of 1954. His lifework was furniture refinishing that he learned from his grandfather at the age of 14 and carried that trade throughout his life. He had a love for animals and a special bond with his late cat Jingles who he shared many special moments with. He pitched for Babe Ruth League and loved to make and fly his model airplanes at Colonial Sportsman Club in Hopewell in which he was a member. Al was a lifelong member of Prospect Heights Fire Co. dedicating his time and volunteering his time with the Fire Police. Al was an Officer and member of the Trenton Elks Lodge #105 for 47 years. He was also a member of the Trenton Polish American Democratic Society and the Club D senior citizens group. Son of the late Alex J. and Mary Paulaski; son-in-law of the late Anthony Grondicki; he is survived by his wife Dorothy Paulaski; his son David Paulaski; two daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Roger Beal and Donna and Brian Forsthoffer; his grandson Benjamin Forsthoffer; his brother Walter Paulaski; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond and Lorraine Grodnicki, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Alice and Richard Besler; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00AM at The Church of St. Ann 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Interment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to express many thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Capital Health System for their care, love and support.
