Obituary of Jody A. Zoll

Please share a memory of Jody to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jody A. (Puza) Zoll passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was 52. Jody was a graduate of Hillsborough High School and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and was a CPA. She had a successful business career with Peat Marwick, Thomas and Betts, Beneficial, ETS,Shaw Group, Habitat for Humanity, and Arora & Associates. Jody was pre-deceased by her father, Joseph H. Puza. She is survived by her husband Jonathan, three daughters, Hannah, Jennifer, and Sarah, mother Jane Puza, sisters and their husbands, Mary Ann and Telly Ousouljoglou, Carol and Jim Gallagher, Tracy Puza and Jason Renker, sister-in-law Amy Zoll, nieces and nephews Telly, Christina and Ana Ousouljoglou, Joey, Jack, Kylie and Camille Gallagher, Sophie and Malcolm Renker, and grand-niece Chloe Ousouljoglou. Jody was a never-ending source of love, strength and inspiration for Jon. She taught him patience and how to be a parent, while indulging his love for all things Boston. Jody’s greatest joy came as a mother. She built a loving home for her family, where everyone could pursue their own interests in their own way. She provided her daughters with guidance, but also the space to make their own decisions. She loved watching them grow into independent young women, each unique, but always supportive of each other. Jody loved family trips, including to California and the Grand Canyon, Disney and other amusement parks, Niagara Falls and Toronto, the Outer Banks, Smokey Mountains and many more. But she was equally happy enjoying an evening home with her family, or watching her daughters compete in a basketball gym or on a soccer field. Jody taught her girls that academics are far more important than athletics, and she was thrilled to see them excel in the classroom. She also recognized the importance of values that could be nurtured on the athletic fields. She was proud that her daughters were good teammates and hard workers, who valued a good defensive play or a pass as much as a basket or a goal. Her family is grateful for the friendship and support of the teammates, coaches, and families of the Lawrence High School Cardinals, Lawrenceville Big Red, Lawrence Hamnett Hot Peppers, Wildcats, and Tigers, Jet Galaxy, AUF Hawks, Upper Makefield Heat, and Hopewell Hurricanes, as well as all the friends who helped our family during Jody’s fight against cancer the past two years. A celebration of Jody’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 2 PM at the Edith Memorial Chapel at The Lawrenceville School. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. In recognition of Jody’s belief that more young people should have the opportunities her own daughters enjoyed, Jody’s family has established the Jody Zoll Memorial Fund at the Princeton Area Community Foundation which will support academic and athletic opportunities, primarily for girls in the Lawrence Township area. Donations may be sent to the Fund at PACF, 15 Princess Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. To send a condolence to the family or for directions please visit www.poulsonvanhise.com
