George M. Gill, 74, of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the University of Princeton Medical Center at Plainsboro. Born in Trenton, NJ, George was a lifetime area resident. He was a graduate of Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Ill, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. George served in the US Air Force promoted to captain while on duty in Vietnam. Returning to Trenton he started his own office systems and supply business. George lived his life in the service of others. As President of the Trenton Jaycees he was one of the founders of Mercer County Big Brothers/Big Sisters, he was an enthusiastic volunteer and supporter of PEI Kids a nonprofit agency for the children of Mercer County. George was a past Moderator of the New Brunswick Presbytery and was currently the co-chair of the Monmouth Presbytery Committee on Preparation for Ministry. He was an ordained elder and deacon in the Presbyterian Church USA. But most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His support and love for his family was constant and enduring Predeceased by his mother Janet Gill Minschwaner, father George G. Minschwaner and his father’s wife Evelyn; he is survived by his wife Evelyn A. Gill; two sons and daughters-in-law James A. and Gabriela Gill, Scott G. and Tara Gill; his beloved grandchildren Adam R. Gill, Logan S. Gill, Clara Elizabeth Gill, Brody F. Gill and Derek S. Gill his brother David M. Gill. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:30AM at Allentown Presbyterian Church 20 High Street, Allentown, NJ 08501. Interment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery Relatives and friends can call for George on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 5-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 Remembrance donations may be made to: Allentown Presbyterian Church 20 High St, Allentown, NJ 08501 or PEI Kids Inc. 231 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
