Mary Csakan Erkoboni, 94, of Toms River died Friday at the Bey Lea Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Toms River, NJ.

Born in Trenton, Mary resided in Lawrenceville most of her life prior to her moving to Toms River five years ago.

As a young girl Mary worked in the Trenton Cigar factory but later was employed by Heinemann Electric Company in Lawrenceville for many years before retiring.

Mary was a member of the Church of St. Ann for many years and also was a member of the Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club #1. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader.

Daughter of the late Michael and Mary Novak Csakan, wife of the late Daniel F. Erkoboni and mother-in-law of the late John S. Chaplick, Jr., she is survived by her daughter with whom she resided, Corrine E. Chaplick of Toms River; two grandsons, John S. Chaplick, III and his wife Marion of Haddenfield, NJ and Scott D. Chaplick and his wife Pamela of Centennial Colorado; five great-grandchildren, Abigail and Jackson Chaplick, John S., IV, Daniel S. and Dyer M. Chaplick; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 Am at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Hamilton.

Friends may call on Wednesday in the chapel at the Church of St. Ann from 10 Am until time of Mass.
