Obituary of Beverly Fern Sperling Hancock

Beverly Fern Sperling Hancock, 83, of Lawrence Township died peacefully Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born in Trenton, Beverly was a resident of Lawrence Township most of her life. She was a former manager with the White Horse Savings and Loan until her retirement in 1989. She then began her career with the NJ Department of State, Division of Elections where she served as an election certification clerk from 1989 until her passing.
Beverly enjoyed her free time reading, using her computer, writing her memoirs and learning anything new.
Daughter of the late Jesse P. and Louise Fern Sperling, wife of the late George Page Hancock, sister of the late Jesse Clark “Mike” Sperling she is survived by her daughter, Pamela Puliti and her husband Greg; her son, David Hancock; her grandchildren, Eric and Patrick Puliti and Shawn and Joshua Hancock; her sister-in-law, Lilly Taaffe; her sister from another mother, Ruth Engel; her faithful dog Toby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff from Capital Health Regional Medical Center and Capital Health Hopewell as well as the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their outstanding and loving care of Beverly.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with the Rev. Jeff Ugoretz, Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
