Obituary of Evelyn Weber Cranstoun

Evelyn Weber Cranstoun passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at her home in Allentown, PA with her family at her side. She was a long time resident of Lawrenceville and an active member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church. Evelyn was a talented quilter and an avid gardener plus being a wonderful cook. Her first priority was always her family. She graduated from Trenton Central High School and McKinley Hospital School of Nursing. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 69 years, L. Bruce Cranstoun; three daughters Celia Petiprin and Eileen Cranstoun of Allentown, and Jean Mauro of Lawrenceville; eight grandchildren, Edward Maxell of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Nicholas Maxell of Allentown, Gabriella Mauro Raffo of Long Island, NY, Eric Mauro of Toms River, NJ; Alexander Mauro of New Jersey; and Victoria Petiprin Leamy and Emily Petiprin Wales of Downingtown, PA. She also enjoyed the company of her eight great-grandchildren. Her sister, Marion Mennel, of Trenton, is now the last surviving member of what was originally a family of six children. Funeral services for Evelyn will be held on Wednesday, July 16 at 12 Noon at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ with the Rev. Nina Reeder, Pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, July 16 from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
