Joseph J Seitz Obituary

Joseph J. Seitz, 79, of Hamilton peacefully left our world on Wednesday March 26th from his winter home in Tarpon Springs, Florida to join his wife of 51 years, Dee, in Heaven.


Born in Trenton, Joe was a life long Hamilton resident. He served his country during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1989 after 30 years of service as a Tin Smith with General Motors Inland Fisher Guide in Ewing. Joe was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union, was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Tarpon Springs and was a 38 year member of the Bordentown Lodge 2085 B.P.O.E where he served as Exalted Ruler from 1987 to 1988.


In recent years Joe received some of his greatest pleasure being ""DR Funnybone"" with the Bumper ""T"" Caring Clowns at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton where he enjoyed giving hope, comfort and smiles to the many patients and staff members.


But, first and foremost, Joe was a family man, and loved spending time with them doing most anything. He also enjoyed his friends and long talks solving the problems of the world.


Son of the late Frank and Lena Kamrad Seitz, and husband of the late Dolores Furfey Seitz; he is survived by his daughter and ""son""-in- law, Deborah and James Dickson and granddaughter Jennifer Dickson all of Yardley, Pa; his step mother-in-law, Florence Furfey; his sister-in-law, Gayle Brisini; several nephews and nieces including Kim Canulli and Karyn Ciccone; several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and numerous good friends.


Joe's funeral will be held on Tuesday beginning at 10 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM at the Church of St. Raphael-Holy Angels, Hamilton Township. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton.


Friends may call on Monday from 5:30 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
