Obituary of Richard J. Chorlton

Richard J. Chorlton, Jr., 77, of Delran, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Care One @ Moorestown.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident until moving to Delran. Richard was a US Navy Veteran. He was employed for many years with Starr Tours and later retired from Lawrence Lincoln Mercury. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Richard was a lifelong member of the Slackwood Volunteer Fire Co, the Mercer County Fire Police and the New Jersey State Fire Police.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Chorlton; his daughter and son-in-law Margaret Chorlton-Marinella and her husband Daniel; his grandson Matthew Marinella; his aunt Ruth Ambrey; his brother-in-law Charles Stewart and his wife Alice; several cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends can call on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 1-3PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A service with the fireman from Slackwood Volunteer Fire Dept. will follow at 3PM.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Richard’s memory to his grandson Matthew Marinella P.O. Box 1655 Delran, NJ 08075.
