Jean “Nana” Albanowski, 94, of Trenton died peacefully at home Friday surrounded by her family. Born in Burlington, NJ, Jean was a resident of Trenton her entire life. She was a retiree of Carter-Wallace of Cranbury but boasted many times that she was employed by just about every factory in Trenton including the cigar factory, the doll factory, Westinghouse and Lenox but her most favorite was Carter-Wallace where she retired from in 1996. Jean was a lifelong member of St. Stanislaus Church and enjoyed crocheting for many years and continued to crochet until just recently. Most of all she enjoyed her family and adored her grandchildren. Daughter of the late John and Frances Skirgalo, wife of the late Stanley Albanowski, mother of the late Robert and Gary Albanowski, great-grandmother of the late, Connor Smith and sister of the late Felix Skirgova, Jean is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Albanowski; her grandchildren, Andrea Tucci and husband Vince, Robert Albanowski and wife Teri, June Albanowski, Tammy Smith and husband Jim, Kelly Rottkamp and husband Pete, and Kristin Landman and husband Bill; her 11 great-grandchildren, Anthony, Dominic, Nicholas, Adam, Madison, Christian, Brienna, Travis, Liam, Emma and Tyler. Jean is also survived by a nephew, several nieces, cousins and many special friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jean on Wednesday, June 11 at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Hamilton. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville.
