Obituary of Jay James Bryan

Jay James Bryan, 82, of Cinnaminson passed away peacefully on Tuesday in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Born in Trenton, Jay lived his life to the fullest and loved his family dearly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and thoroughly enjoyed his time in the service, often regaling the family with stories of his travels. He worked for 35 years in Trenton at TransAmerica Delaval during the heyday of "Trenton makes the World Takes". After retiring from the corporate world and quickly becoming bored, Jay's exceptional math skills led him to become one of the most sought after roulette dealers at Resorts Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He also made time to be actively involved in his church and community service. Son of the late Jacob Fritz Bryan and Mary Sterling Hibbs Bryan; he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan Carson Bryan, his daughter, Marianne Seabert and her husband Andrew of Lawrenceville and his grandchildren, Skylar and Coleman who he absolutely adored. Funeral services for Jay will be held on Friday at 11 AM at Poulson Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 9 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
