Joseph L. Stuller, 90, of Lawrenceville died peacefully Saturday at the Mercerville Center. Born in Trenton he resided in Lawrence Township his entire life and was very proud of the fact to have lived his life in the house that he had built himself. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard and served on the USS Merrill, DE 392, a destroyer escort ship. Joseph retired from General Motors, Inland Fisher Guide Division, in Ewing Township after 42 years of service where he was employed as a tool and die maker. For many years he was a Scout Leader and in his leisure enjoyed golf, bowling on league teams, dancing with his wife and the peace and solitude of his cabin in the Poconos. He was a long time member of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post #414 of Lawrenceville. Son of the late Jady and Margaret Lippincott Stuller; brother of the late Willard, Donald and William Stuller; and husband of the late Katherine Hopkins Stuller; he is survived by his daughter, Linda Shuren and her husband Kenneth; a grandson, Jonathan B. Shuren and his wife Meagone; his two great-grandsons, Xzavier Andrew and Jaxson Alexander Shuren; his two sisters, Lucille Foden and Diane Snow and her husband Roy; and a sister-in-law, Lois Stuller. Funeral services will be held for Joseph on Thursday at 11 Am at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ with the Rev. Dr. Nina Reeder, Pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
