Gary Lee Major, 53, of Roebling, passed away with his loving family at his side on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Capital Health Regional Trauma Center, Trenton. Born in Columbus, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Roebling, NJ. Gary was a 1979 graduate of Northern Burlington High School. He was a Union Laborer with Local # 595. Gary was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a Harley Davidson Enthusiast. Gary was a loving and devoted father, pop-pop, brother, uncle and friend. Son of the late Doris Major; he is survived by 3 children Naoma and Don Green, Janine Major and David Lee Major; his granddaughter Yardley Green; the mother of his 3 children Beth Webb; his siblings Russell, Jr. and Jodie Major, Edward and Robin Major, Penny and Kevin Fitzpatrick, Theresa and Terry Matthews and Richard Allen Major; his father Russell Major, Sr., his mother-in-law Frances Towles, several aunts, uncles nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends can call on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 6-8PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. A funeral service will follow at 8PM. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
