Mrs. Erdie and Mary Ellen, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband and father. I have so many fond memories of his kindness and generosity. I remember how much of his time he gave to PAL while helping to raise five children. I last saw him and Mrs. Eddie a few years ago when my mother, my children and I went by to visit while we were in town. They both seemed very happy and as glad to see us as we were to see them. My thoughts and prayers are with all of your family in your loss. Grace Coppola

Jule was a great friend who I enjoyed working with and especially enjoyed the sailing trips we took over the years. His sense of humor and gadgets he brought on trips will always bring a smile to my face. To the family I extend my condolences for your loss and may you know that I wish I could join you to honor Jule however I am currently out of the country.

Dear Mrs. Erdie and Family,
I cried when Matt died and still the tears run for Mr. Erdie. I will never forget the times of hearing his wisdom from such a young age when I met Matt in 1st grade in ST Ann's. The times of coming over your house to play football with Matt and the rest of the Lawrence Boys. If my memory is accurate I even think Mr. Erdie was involved with scouting when I was a Cub Scout for the meetings at the Lawrence Road Presbyterrian Church Basement. He would come in the kitchen at the restaurant when there was a State Party and tell my mother, " how are we going to get our sons married and out of the house," meaning me and Matt. When I either walk or ride by I look for the guidance and words of Mr. Erdie as he with you raised a fine family. May God Bless You All and May He Be Now Reunited With All Who Have Gone Before Him and His Little Boy Matt. Love You All.

Dear Pat, Mary Ellen and family:
In the over half century I knew Jule both in Government, recreation and family socials, I never heard a disparaging word from him or about him.
He truly was a genuine really nice guy.
His sincere welcome when we did meet, and his wry humor while we met is imbued in my memory.
Despite the many years, and miles that seperated us in the past decade, I often inquired of him when speaking to my nephew Johnny.
Jule the consumate gentleman will always be remembered, and sincerely missed.
My deepest sympathy to you all in this time of loss.

My condolences to the entire family and the friends who will undoubtedly miss his great personality and caring efforts on the behalf of many. My main contact was at The Contemporary, where he and George Ender volunteered their expertise, the supplies, and numerous hours, to make repairs, refinish the front doors, paint, install shelves, and build a closet in the auditorium for audio-visual equipment. Their efforts were greatly appreciated and deservedly earned them the distinction of "Men's Auxiliary Superior Member."
