Obituary of Dorothy L. Moore

Dorothy Cranstoun Moore, 98, of Lawrenceville, died on Wednesday at Greenwood House in Ewing. Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Lawrenceville resident. Dorothy was a bus driver for Lawrence Township Schools. She served as a deacon at the Slackwood Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday School for 30 years. Dorothy was an avid bowler at Colonial Lanes, a member of the Rosedale Homemakers, and operated a home beauty shop for 50 years. Daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Henry Udy, wife of the late Raymond Cranstoun and Harry Moore, mother of the late William Cranstoun, and grandmother of the late Jeffrey and Samuel Cranstoun, she is survived by her daughter, Penny Baumann and her husband Jerry, her two sons: Raymond Cranstoun, and Doug Cranstoun and his wife Ellen, her daughter-in-law, Patricia Cranstoun, her stepson, John Moore and his wife Louise, her two stepdaughters: Dora Ashton and her husband Ted, and Melanie Danka and her husband Jack, her grandchildren: Mary Louise Sked (Mark), Tracy Cranstoun-Crozier, Scott (Jennifer), JD, and Matt Cranstoun, Danny Baumann, and Rachael Cranstoun, step-grandchildren Beth, Michele, Mark, Amy and Andy, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dorothy will be celebrated on Saturday at 12 noon at The Slackwood Presbyterian Church, 2020 Brunswick Ave., Lawrenceville. Burial will be in The Lawrenceville Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville and again on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. Memorial donation in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Slackwood Presbyterian Church, 2020 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
