John Stoy, 65, of Hamilton, died on Wednesday at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Born in Trenton, John was a lifelong Hamilton resident. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked in construction all his life until his recent retirement. He was a member of the VFW Post 3525 in Hamilton. Son of the late Edmund and Mabel Muhs Stoy, he is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara A. Michalczyn Stoy, his two dearest sisters-in-law: Carol Battaglia and her husband Lou, Jane Mesday and her husband Harry, his brother, Vernon Stoy and his wife Patricia, and his beloved nieces and nephews: Brooke, Louis, Daniel, Jeffry, Donna, Arlene and Melissa. He is also survived by many close loving cousins, aunts, uncles and his sister Lorraine and her husband Jack. Funeral services for John will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in the Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends and relatives may call on Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in John’s name be made to the VFW Post 3525, 77 Christine Ave., Mercerville, NJ 08619 or to The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
