Obituary of Mildred Hutsinpiller

Mildred Hutsinpillar, 93, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Lawrenceville Nursing Home. She was born Trenton, NJ, of Moravian decent. Mildred was a Veteran of World War II and served four years as an Army nurse and attained the rank of First Lieutenant. She was part of the 38th Evacuation Hospital that landed on the beach of Anzew in North Africa to treat casualties. Mildred was an active member of Sokol Lodge 59 and former president of Lawrence Twp. Senior Citizens Club 1&2. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Daughter of the late Alois and Frances Houst Hustak and stepmother Josephine Frich Hustak, sister of the late Leonard Hustak and Helen Debnarik; wife of the late Lieutenant Colonel Herschel H. Hutsinpiller; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jack Hiatt; 2 grandchildren Christopher and Janet Hiatt of Colorado Springs, CO; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30 at 1PM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Calling hours will be held from 12:30 until the time of the service. Military honors and interment will follow in the Veterans section of Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
