Obituary of Stanley B. Cranstoun

Stanley B. Cranstoun, 82, of Yardley, died peacefully on Tuesday at Chandler Hall in Newtown. Born in Princeton, Mr. Cranstoun was a longtime Lawrenceville resident before moving to Yardley twenty-six years ago. Mr. Cranstoun graduated from Princeton High School class of 1949. He had attended both the Hun School and Princeton University on a football scholarship. He earned his bachelors degree from Drexel University and his masters in industrial engineering from Lehigh University. Mr. Cranstoun had worked for over thirty years in the telecommunications-engineering field for AT&T and he retired from Lucent Technologies as a computer systems engineer. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf with his brothers after his retirement. Son of the late William and Mary Poinsett Cranstoun, and husband of the late Noreen Nunziato Cranstoun, he is survived by his wife of twenty six years, Sandra Loebs, his children: Mark Cranstoun and his wife Kelly, Steve Cranstoun and his wife Landi, Anne Marie Kunz and her husband Kevin, and Jamey Cranstoun and his wife Kim, his grandchildren: Kevin, Colin, Romero, and Caeley Cranstoun, and Lauren, Brian and Heather Kunz, his stepsons: John Curtis III and his wife Anne, Matthew Curtis, James Curtis and his wife Linda Cortese, and Daniel Curtis, his step grandsons: John Curtis IV, and Christopher and Jason Curtis. He is also survived by his two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Cranstoun Moore and Dolores Cranstoun, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his five brothers: John, Raymond, Earl, Alvin, and Milton Cranstoun, and his sister, Dorothy Skellenger. His funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Rev Jill Cifelli of The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940.
