Linda Lee H. Sallee LAWRENCEVILLE - Linda Lee H. Sallee died unexpectedly at her home in Lawrenceville on February 1 at the age of 60. Born October 27, 1947 to Charles and Lucinda Chichester Hackensmith in Lexington, KY, she lived in Lawrenceville for the last 26 years. Linda was raised in Lexington, KY, and received Bachelor of Art Education and Bachelor of Architecture degrees at the University of Kentucky. Her architectural studies included a year abroad at the Royal Academy of Art and Architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 1983 she received a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University. She was a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. Following her education, she worked in Lexington, KY and at several Delaware Valley architectural firms in Mercer County and Philadelphia, PA. Projects in which she was involved were varied in size and scope and included housing, education, commercial, transportation and government clients. Linda was a beloved wife, devoted mother and genuine friend. Along with her family and dogs, her passions were painting and drawing, designing buildings and working in her yard. Additional interests were cooking, travel, visiting museums, genealogy, history, antiques, collecting, thrift stores and flea markets. Linda was generous of heart and spirit and will be terribly missed by those who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Eric Sallee, and one son, Asa Sallee; four sisters and one brother, Darlene Sanders of San Diego, CA, Marlene Thurston of Louisville, KY, Charles Hackensmith of St. Joseph, MI, Kymillo McNulty of Lancaster, KY and Kathy Crow of Lexington, KY; mother-in-law Ellen Sallee of Greenville, DE; brother and sister-in-laws Kent and Sandy Sallee and their daughter Kerry of Kennett Square, PA; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday April 5 in the Chapel of Christ Church, Buck Road, Greenville, DE. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Community Gardens of Chester County (PO Box 995, Unionville, PA 19375) or The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (P.O. Box 872, Trenton, NJ 08605).
