Obituary of Joan Irene Rodriguez

Joan Irene Rodriguez, 65, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Oceanside, CA, Joan was a lifelong Trenton area resident. Joan retired in 2010 from the State of New Jersey as a Project Manager after 42 years of service. Some of her hobbies included trips to Atlantic City, reading and knitting. Daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Sutterley, sister of the late William Sutterley; she is survived by her husband John Rodriguez; her son Brian (Gina) Sutterley; her granddaughter Alexis Sutterley; her brother David (Linda) Sutterley; her sister-in-law Iris (Gregory) Ramos, her brothers-in-law Rev. Father Nestor Rodriguez and Luis (Kathy) Cancel; her aunts and uncles Betty Sutterley, Bob (Harriet) Cook, Nancy (Walter) Apgar, Jean Miller and Louis Cook; 3 nieces Kristina, Vanessa and Kristy, 2 nephews David and Christopher and great-nephews. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10:15AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 626 South Olden Avenue., Hamilton, NJ 08629. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends and relatives may call on Sunday from 3-6 PM and again on Monday from 9:45-10:15AM at the funeral home.
