Obituary of Emmaline Jones

Emmaline Jones, 97, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Rose Hill Assisted Living, Robbinsville, NJ. Emmaline was born Emmaline Waddy on a rural farm in Owenton, KY. Her parents were William Waddy and Jessie Webster Waddy. She was one of 5 children. Her siblings were Frank, Jeff, Ruby, and Martha Waddy. Emmaline left for New York as a young adult to pursue her dream of cosmetology. She and Sydney Jones later married and settled in Queens, NY to raise their family. Emmaline was a woman of great faith. She dedicated herself to service in her church and in her community, where she worked as a teacher’s aide for special education in P.S. 40 Elementary School in Queens. She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Booth, Shirley Bond, and Jeannette Bond, her son-in-law, Darryl Booth, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her family and friends were blessed to have her in their lives and she will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday.
