Virginia Dolly DiMeglio Obituary

Virginia DiMeglio LAWRENCEVILLE - Virginia ""Dolly"" DiMeglio, 58, died at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, she had been a lifelong area resident. Dolly had been in the first class to graduate from Lawrence High School in 1968. She had worked for Capital Health at Fuld as a clerk in the Medical Records Department. She was a life member of the Slackwood Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and life member and past president of the Lawrence Township First Aid Squad. Dolly loved to cook for her family and was an avid dog lover who formerly bred Doberman show dogs. She left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered and will be remembered by many as a great lover of life. Daughter of the late Harry J. and Virginia Richardson Ratcliffe II, she is survived by her husband Salvatore DiMeglio; her three sons Salvatore F. DiMeglio, Marco DiMeglio and his wife Jeanine, and Christopher DiMeglio and his wife Beth; her two grandchildren Anthony and Gianna DiMeglio; her two brothers Harry J. Ratcliffe III, and William Ratcliffe; many nieces and nephews, and her friend Mark Lord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central NJ Region, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
