Patricia Ramsay Jordan passed away on January 26, 2013 in Palm Coast, FL. Mrs. Jordan was the wife of the late Robert W. Jordan, daughter of the late Charles L. Ramsay of Binghamton, NY and the late Mrs. Katherine Burns Ramsay of Ewing Township, NJ, and sister of the late Lt. Col. Charles J. Ramsay, USMC. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Jordan of Ewing, a brother and sister-in-law John R. and Nancy Ramsay, sister-in-law Lorraine Ramsay, brothers Edward, Timothy, Alan, Gerald and Christopher Ramsay, sisters Margaret Cardiel, Denise Jones and Rene Ramsay, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Mrs. Jordan was born in Chatham, NJ but lived in the Vailsburg-Irvington, NJ area. She graduated from Archbishop Walsh High School in Irvington and attended Seton Hall and Mercer County Community College. She moved to Ewing in 1969 when her husband accepted a position as Investigator with the Organized Crime Unit Division of Criminal Justice of the State of New Jersey. Mrs. Jordan was employed in many fields including the U.S. Marshal’s Service where she received an award from the U.S. Attorney General in recognition of meritorious services. She also worked in the Ewing Township Schools. Mrs. Jordan retired as an inspector from the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections, Bureau of County Services. Mrs. Jordan worked in the Travel Industry which stimulated her love of foreign travel which she and her daughter enjoyed frequently. Besides her love of travel she loved to read and would volunteer for the Church of St. Ann to bring Holy Communion to the sick of the parish, as well as being a Eucharistic Minister at Capital Health, Hopewell. Funeral services for Mrs. Jordan will begin on Saturday at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at Church of Saint Ann, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Friends will be received at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Jordan’s memory may be made to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. at www.mskcc.org
