Obituary of Margaret M. Tandy

Margaret M. Tandy, 95, of Mercerville died peacefully at home on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lawrence Township she was a lifelong resident until moving to Mercerville in 1988. Margaret was employed as the manager of the former Stacey Laundry in Lawrenceville for many years and upon retirement in 1970 cared for children in her home which gave her much satisfaction. She was a former member of the Church of St. Ann and the Altar Rosary Society at the church. Daughter of the late Sylvester and Theodosia Falcone Cestra, wife of the late John F. Tandy, Sr., and sister of the late, Julia Ferrazano, Irene Martini, and Lucy Cestra she is survived by her son, John F. Tandy, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Mercerville with whom she resided; her grandchildren, Christopher Tandy and his wife Marcie and Jennifer Tandy; her great-grandchildren, Devin, Kyle and Michael Tandy; her sister Sandy Lorenz and special nieces and nephews, Jerry Martini, Sylvia Morreale, Sandra Cannon, Delores Mallam and Patricia Smith and their families. Funeral services for Margaret will be held on Thursday beginning at 9 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Ann. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery Hamilton. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday from 3:30 to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
