Gregory S. Mohacsi, Sr., 63, of Bordentown, formerly of Ewing died Thursday December 27, 2012 at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, Ft. Polk, Louisiana while visiting family. Born in Kingston, New York, Greg resided in Ewing Township for many years and was an alumnus of Ewing High School. He currently was a resident of Bordentown for the past 30 years. Greg retired in 2009 as a M.Sgt., Aircraft Mechanic Crew Chief, after 38 years of serving his country with the NJ Army National Guard. He currently was serving as Commander of American Legion Post 414 and Vice Commander of V.F.W. Post 3022 both of Lawrenceville. He was also a member of the Morrisville Elks Lodge, B.P.O.E. 2023 Morrisville, PA. Son of the late Steven G. and Dorcas Mohacsi, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Mohacsi; his children, Tara Senski and her husband John, Shannon Mohacsi and her fiancé Paul Zahurance, Gregory S. Mohacsi, Jr., and Erin Dekovitch and her husband Nicholas; his grandchildren, John, Noah and Zachary Senski and Hailey Mohacsi. Also surviving are his 5 brothers, Steve Mohacsi and his wife Sandy, Gary Mohacsi and his wife Chris, Steven Mohacsi and his wife June, Philip Mohacsi and his wife Suzann and Brian Mohacsi and his wife Sandy; his 4 sisters, Bonnie Papszycki and her husband Scott, Mary Comisky and her husband Jim, Diane Walker and her husband Don and Karen Bird and her husband Stuart along with and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Greg will be celebrated on Tuesday January 8 at 10:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville with the Rev. Will Shurley, Pastor of the Titusville Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. American Legion Post #414 and V.F.W. Post #2022 will conduct joint services at 7 PM. Due to cemetery restrictions on flowers memorial contributions would be preferred to the American Legion Post #414, 100 Berwyn Place, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
