Anna Taffa, 88, of Princeton, died on Thursday at her daughter’s home in Lawrenceville. Born in Belgium, Anna immigrated to the United States in 1953. During World War II, Anna and her family were active in the Belgium resistance and provided a safe house for allied servicemen. Mrs. Taffa worked at the Chapin School for over 20 years and retired as the director of food services. She enjoyed sewing, the beach and spending time with her family and in the Poconos. Anna was a former member of St. Paul’s in Princeton. Daughter of the late Joseph and Terese Nellissen, and wife of the late Alberto Taffa, she is survived by her loving daughter Diana Russo and her husband John, her grandchildren; James Russo and his wife Lisa Tomaszewski, and Stephanie Laudien and her husband Harold, and her three great grandchildren, Mia and Emma Laudien and William Russo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 AM at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 10 to 11 AM in the daily chapel at The Church of St. Ann. Memorial contributions made be made in Anna’s memory to The Church of St. Ann, Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648
