Margaret J. Murray, 87, passed into God's loving care on December 15, 2007 at her home in Hopewell Township, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she lived most of her adult life in New Jersey, most recently in Lawrenceville and Pennington. Her lifelong occupation was a secretary but her vocation was being a mother. Her family roles as wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother occupied most of her thoughts and time and gave her the most pleasure. In truth, she was devoted to her family and will be sorely missed by all. She was the widow of Michael P. Murray, Jr. and the daughter of the late Fredrick and Julia Harrison. Her brother, Fredrick Harrison of Biloxi, Ms. and her sister and brother in law, Eleanor and Earnest Benvignati of Pennington, NJ as well as her daughter, Margaret R. Murray of Alexandria, Va, predeceased her. Her brothers and sisters in law John & Mary Murray, Joseph Murray, Paul and Patricia McCarthy and James Higgins also predeceased her. She is survived by her loving sister Mimi Brown of Devon, Pa. and sister in law, Nan Harrison of Biloxi, Ms. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Kathleen & Geoffrey Kimmel of Lawrenceville, Barbara & James Peterson of Carbondale, Co., Maria & Kenneth Light of Pennington, her son in law Carl Schwensen of Key West, Fl., her sons and their spouses, Michael & Mary Murray of Telford, Pa and Martin & Elizabeth Murray of Wilmette, Il. She left a legacy of love to her grandchildren Christian Schwensen, Jana and Geoffrey Kimmel, Nilsse and Stina Peterson, Connor, Madelaine and Constantine (Gussie) Murray, Michael Murray, and Rebecca and Kenneth Light. Margaret and her sisters were so very close that nieces and nephews were also sons and daughters to them. Aunt Margie dearly loved Barbara and Joe Scotti, Tony and Mary Martha Brown, Philip and Betsy Brown, the late David Brown, Annette Brophy, Liz and Joe Zipf, Bill Benvignati and Bob and Jill Benvignati and all of their children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her loving and supportive brothers and sisters in law, Edward & Rosemary Murray, Gertrude Higgins, Charlotte Murray, Anne & Robert Levis and her many nieces and nephews. Margaret's funeral will be held on Wednesday beginning at 9:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 Am in the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Private family burial services will be held on Thursday in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield. Friends may call on Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
