Pasquale ""Pat"" DeLorenzo, 83, died Monday at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, FL. Born in Trenton, he was a long time resident of Boca Raton, before moving to Port St. Lucie 12 years ago. Pat was a decorated veteran of the D-Day invasion of Normandy Beach. He landed on Omaha Beach with the 121st Engineer Battalion attached to the 29th Infantry Division. Along with his father, Louis, and late brothers Paul and Sam, they were behind the success of the DeLorenzo Waste Container business that serviced many commercial, industrial and military installations throughout the region. Pat was affiliated with and was a prominent figure in many local organizations, especially the Knights of Columbus. He was the past Grand Knight of Ewing Council #3756 Knights of Columbus and past Faithful Navigator of the Bishop Griffin Assembly Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, He was an enthusiastic golfer and a member Yardley Country Club, the Boca Country Club and Club Med Sandpiper in Port St. Lucie. Son of the late Louis and Lucy Sarmento DeLorenzo, he is survived by his wife of twenty years Sophie Kathleen DeLorenzo, two daughters Paula DeLorenzo of Mills River, N.C., Janice DeLorenzo of Hamilton, N.J., Patrick DeLorenzo and his wife Aina of Mission Viejo, CA., and Mark DiLorenzo and his wife Katie of Hamilton, N.J., and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are a step daughter Melanie Tysowski of Lawrenceville, N.J., two sisters Helen Zazzo and Carmella Duraski both of Trenton and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Monday at 9 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road in Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in the Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hamilton Township. Family and friends may call on Sunday form 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, 801 Roeder Road - Suite 750, Silver Spring, MD. 20910. Please note Pat's name on any contribution.
