Henry J. Jingoli, Jr., 84, of Mansfield Township died peacefully on Saturday June 23rd surrounded by his loving wife of 59 years, Patsy Ann, his children and his beloved grandchildren at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Born in Trenton he was a resident of Lawrenceville for over 45 years before moving to Mansfield 3 years ago. He attended Trenton Catholic High School before transferring to Pennington Prep School on a scholarship. While at Pennington he lettered in basketball and baseball. Upon graduation from Pennington he then furthered his education at the University of Missouri. He was a principal with Joseph J. Jingoli & Sons for 38 years before retiring in 1976. Always one to remain active he then went on to be a courier for US1 and was a starter for the Lawrenceville Golf Course for over 22 years. Henry was a very active parishioner of the Church of St. Ann and served as an usher and was a member of the Holy Name Society at the church. An avid sportsman he was a Board Member and Vice-President of Trenton P.A.L. for 15 years. He was a former CYO basketball coach for St. Ann School and was instrumental in forming the first Golf Team at the Church of St. Ann. He was a former baseball coach for the Lawrence Township Babe Ruth team, York Supply, for several years and was a former basketball coach for the middle school at the Hun School of Princeton. His passion and enthusiasm for sports lead him to be named Sportsman of the Year by the Lawrence Township Athletic Association in the 1980’s. Henry was also a member of Hamilton Township Elks Lodge #2262 B.P.O.E. He was an Army veteran of WWII and as such was a member of American Legion Post #458 of Lawrenceville. In addition to his involvement with sports Henry also enjoyed relaxing at the Jersey shore and slipping off to the race track. But, first and foremost was his devotion to his children and grandchildren and someone who loved animals and especially his dogs. Henry will be remembered as a kind, generous, distinguished and gentle man and he will be deeply missed by a large community of family and life-long friends. Son of the late Enrico and Margaret Pagliaro Jingoli, brother of the late Joseph R. Jingoli, and father-in-law of the late Mark Swol he is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Rhodes Jingoli; his 5 children, his daughters, Christina Swol of Hopewell, Vicky Marx and her husband Rick of Spring Lake, and Shelley Jannos and her husband Ron of Kendall Park; his sons, Richard Jingoli and his wife Ann Marie of Columbus and Thomas A. Jingoli and girlfriend Shawn Cardinal of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Frank, Zachary and Dillon Swol, Evan, Chris and Sam Marx, Ryan and Taylor Jannos and Madison and Cassandra Jingoli; his sister, Janice Heyner and her husband Bob; his sister-in-law, Mildred Rhodes; close friends, Claire and Allen Gross, Eleanor Salvatore and her late husband George and Cathy and Rick Smith and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Funeral services for Henry will be held on Wednesday beginning at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at the Church of St. Ann. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Faith Development Center at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Rd. Lawrenceville, NJ.
