Edward W. Wylie, 80, of Trenton, died on Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in Hamilton surrounded by his loving wife, family and his friend. Born in Trenton he was a lifelong area resident. Edward was a Korean War veteran having served in the Navy and received many accommodations and medal awards. He was a driver for the city of Trenton’s Division of Aging for 10 years. He had also been an oil truck driver for several years. Edward enjoyed drawing and painting. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Leigh Segal for all of her loving care. Son of the late Edward and Mary Czene Wylie, he is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Wylie, his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Jane Wylie, his loving nieces; Karen Wylie, Beverly Duplechan and her husband Eugene, Alma Wylie, and his nephew, Richard Wylie, several cousins, and other nieces. He also survived by his two sisters-in-law; Alma Wylie, and Louise Davidowski, his special friend Gino Ortiz and his childhood friend, Jules Cuomo and his wife Barbara. He was predeceased by his sister, Lillian Smith, and his brothers; Fredrick and Richard Wylie. Edward’s funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 AM at The Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hamilton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
