Ruth D. Bodnar, 93, of Ewing, died at her home on Saturday, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, and a former resident of Lawrenceville, she was most recently a resident of Ewing. Mrs. Bodnar was a member of The Church of St. Ann and was past president of their Altar Rosary Society. She was a former member of St Joseph’s Church for 35 years and past president of the St. Joseph’s PTA. She was a former member of St. Gregory the Great’s Senior Citizens Club, and past president of the Lawrence Twp. Senior Citizens Club #5. Daughter of the late Joseph D. And Emma D. Deveney Smith, and wife of the late Michael J, Bodnar Sr., she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Michael J. Jr., and Barbara Bodnar, and Lawrence J. and Carol Bodnar, her four grand children; Michele Gillespie and her husband Andrew, Paula Millen and her husband Jeff, and Stephen and Jennifer Barkasy, her four great grand children; Ian, Shaun, Cody, and Heather, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral for Ruth will be held on Thursday at 9AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at The Church of St. Ann in Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
