Gloria Jean B. Lengenfelder, 88, of Bordentown, died on Monday at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center at Hamilton. Born in Mine Hill, she lived there as a child and was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Garabrant Burchell. After graduating from Dover High School, she went to Alfred University, graduating with a bachelor of fine arts degree in ceramic design and was a member of the Theta Theta Chi sorority. Gloria moved to Trenton and was a designer for Fulper Stangl Pottery. After her marriage to her late husband, John Lengenfelder, they resided in Lawrence Township where Gloria was a stay at home mom and enjoyed being a Den Mother of the Cub Scouts. She was president of three Lawrence Township School’s PTA where she developed many innovative programs. In her later years she enjoyed the Senior Center programs and playing bingo. Most recently she was residing with her daughter and son-in-law in Springfield. Gloria was the mother of the late Timothy Lengenfelder and Barbara L. Taylor Volz. She is survived by her son, John Lengenfelder Jr. and his companion Nancy Ainslie, her daughter, Timothy’s twin sister, Debra and her husband, Dr. Albert Chiaramonti, her four grandchildren; Brian Volz, Jennifer Filipowicz, Melissa McCarty and her husband Paul, and Steven Lengenfelder and his wife Robyn, and her two great grandchildren; Breanna Volz and Joey McCarty. She is also survived by her sister Bette Lou Tobin and her sister-in-law Ruby Burchell. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Burchell. Funeral services and burial at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park in Ewing are private.
