Rose Geffrard, 70, of Trenton, died Wednesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick.
Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was a former Princeton resident and has resided in Trenton since 1986.
Rose was formerly employed by the Medical Center at Princeton and later at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
She was a member of St. James R.C. Church in Trenton.
Daughter of the late Andre and Eloise Romain and mother of the late Frantz Geffrard, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Mikelcie and Douglas Smarr and a son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Annette Celestin. Also surviving two brothers Lafoise and Ostene, and a sister Laurencile, six grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Friday December 7th at 10 AM from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM in St. James R.C. Church, 29 E. Paul Avenue in Trenton. Family and friends may call on Thursday form 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
