Emma C. Eldridge, 92, of Trenton, died Tuesday at home. Born in Trenton and a former Ewing Township resident, Emma has resided in Trenton for the last twelve years. She was a retired waitress and food service worker, retiring from the Pennington Preparatory School. Daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Hoffman Becker, wife of the late Roosevelt “Ted” Eldridge, mother of the late Andrew Eldridge, and grandmother of the late Joseph Eldridge, she is survived by two daughters Caroline Figallo and Marguerite Hart and her husband James, two sons Theodore Eldridge and his wife Nora and James Eldridge and his wife Susan, and a daughter-in-law Sally Eldridge. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and her caregivers Eleanor Godbold and Taba Yeah. She was predeceased by her sixteen brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:30 PM in the Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road in Ewing Township with Reverend Jim Calloway, assistant pastor of the Grace Way Bible Church of Hamilton Township officiating.
