Dorine W. Taranowicz, 89, of Hamilton peacefully passed away on Wednesday at Capital Health System Fuld with her loving family by her side. Born in Manning Iowa, Dorine was a resident of Lawrenceville for 61 years prior to her moving to Hamilton 3 years ago. Dorine was formerly employed by Penn Fruit and Dales Supermarket in Lawrenceville for many years and was a member of the Retail Clerks Union. She was later employed by General Motors, Inland Fisher Guide in Ewing and retired in 1998 after 25 years of service. While at GM she was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union. Dorine was involved in numerous activities and charities, she enjoyed cooking for her family especially for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter holidays, and always in the Polish tradition. She loved her family in New Jersey and Iowa, they were everything to her. She enjoyed going out to dinner and dancing with her husband and she loved listening to Frank Sinatra music, and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown. She also was a very active member of St. Hedwig School PTA during her daughters school years. Dorine truly loved being with her husband and their love for God, each other, and their family was breathtaking. Nothing was impossible they said with God. Daughter of the late Otto and Ella Kroeger, step daughter of the late Rose Kroeger, she was raised by her late beloved grandmother Minnie Biehl after her mother died at an early age. Dorine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles; her four daughters, Bernadette Bac and her husband Gregory of Lawrenceville, Barbara Czepiga and her husband Walter of Lawrenceville, Patricia Smith and her husband Richard of Yardville and Catherine Vasil and her husband Michael of Mercerville; a brother Russell Kroeger and his wife Myra of Wall Lake, Iowa; eight grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews in New Jersey and Iowa, and numerous cousins in Iowa. Dorine is also survived by her brother-in-law, Anthony Tataranowicz and his companion Naomi Errico and two sisters-in-law, Teresa Tataranowicz and Anne Guagliardo and was a sister in law to the late Carmello Guagliardo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday November 17th at 11 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM in the daily chapel at the Church of St. Ann. Memorial contributions may be made to SS Cyril and Methodius Seminary, 3535 Indian Trail, Orchard Lake, Michigan 48324 or to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, P.O. Box 2049, Doylestown, PA 18901.
