Obituary of Forrest H. Miller

Forrest H. Miller, 72, of Lawrenceville, died Monday at home. Born in Trenton, he was an area resident all of his life. Forrest retired in 1995 after twenty-nine years as a custodian with the Lawrence Township Board of Education. He was a life member of the Slackwood and Lawrence Road Fire Companies and a member of the Camping Club Jersey Ho-Bo’s. Forrest enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. Son of the late Charles and Madeline Ashton Miller, he is survived by his loving wife of fifty-one years Joan Baker Miller, a son Donald F. Miller, a daughter Sharon B. Creighton and her husband Michael, and five grandchildren Scott, Nicole, and Kelly Creighton and Colin and Logan Miller. Also surviving are his sisters Charlotte Lawlor and Merry D’Amico, a brother William Miller, a step-brother James Miller and his wife Cordelia, a step-sister Patricia Healy, a sister-in-law Joan Miller, an aunt Margaret Burris, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and cousins, a special cousin Myrtle Coxon, and many special friends. The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville with Rev. Dr. Nina Reeder, pastor of the Lawrence Road Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Lawrenceville Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Lawrence Road Volunteer Fire Co. (Station 22) and Slackwood Volunteer Fire Co. (Station 21) will hold joint services at 5 PM Sunday during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Forrest’s memory to the Visiting Nurses Association of Mercer County, P.O. Box 441, Trenton, NJ 08603
