Polly Hughes, 85, of Yardley, PA went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents William N. Havens and Marie L Havens formerly of Yardley. PA Also she was predeceased in childhood by her brother Thomas Havens. Additionally she was preceded in death by her sister Grace Daniels of Goldendale WA Also; she was predeceased by his first husband Richard Landolt of Yardley PA and her second husband Robert Hughes. Polly is survived by her son Thomas Landolt, his wife Helen and their daughter Laura of Newtown, PA, and two nephews Bill Daniels of Florence Oregon and his brother Larry Daniels of Bainbridge Island WA and their families. Polly was graduated from Trenton High School and Edgewood Park College. After college, Polly worked as a Physician’s Assistant. After the birth of her son she was a devoted homemaker In her early years, Polly was an active member of Trinity Cathedral in Trenton, NJ where she was very active in the Altar Guild. In the past 20 years; Polly has been a parishioner at St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Newtown PA. Additionally, Polly was a volunteer aide at Mercer Hospital for over 50 years. Polly enjoyed watching baseball and tennis, traveling history, reading and stamp collection. She enjoyed dogs and often volunteered to watch them while their owners were away. Polly will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous person. A Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be offered for Polly on Tuesday August 2nd at 2:00 PM at St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 100 E. Washington Avenue, Newtown, PA. with Father Ernest Curtain, Rector, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing. Contributions in memory of Polly may be made to St Luke’s Episcopal Church, 100 E. Washington Avenue, Newtown, PA 18940
