Obituary of Lois Cermele Beaston

Lois Cermele Beaston, 68, of Hamilton died Tuesday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Trenton she was a resident of Hamilton for the past 10 years. Lois retired in 2002 after 25 years of service with the Public Defender’s office for the State of New Jersey where she served as an executive assistant. She was an active member of the Woodland’s Social Club and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Daughter of the late Andrew and Emily Clemen Cermele and sister of the late Andrew Jr. she is survived by her son, Donald Beaston and his wife Emily; a daughter, Ann Sczerbowicz and her husband Dennis; her grandchildren, Joseph Sczerbowicz and his fiancée Jennifer Foster and Fallon and Davis Beaston; her brothers, Donald Cermele and his wife Mona, Joseph Cermele and his wife Jean and Andrew Cermele and his wife Debbie; her sisters, Rosemarie Furtick and Marguerite Hoffman and her husband Joseph. Lois is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her special friends at the Woodland’s. Lois’s funeral will be held on Saturday beginning at 8:30 AM at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road Lawrenceville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM at the Church of St. Ann, Lawrenceville. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Lois’s name to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Cancer Institute of New Jersey Hamilton, 2575 Klockner Road, Hamilton, NJ 08690.
